Lebron James scored 25 points, dished out eight assists, and grabbed six rebounds in game five of the NBA Finals. That is clearly not good enough. In a world where Lebron is compared to the best in the world, he will undoubtedly need to step up and prove it, and that will require a much better online sports betting performance when the Miami Heat face the San Antonio Spurs in a must-win game six. Lebron went just 1-of-8 down the stretch including 0-for-3 in the post when he was guarded by Boris Diaw, and that just simply isn’t good enough for a star considered to be the best in the game.

NBA Finals – Game 6

San Antonio Spurs @ Miami Heat

Tuesday June 18, 2013 – 9:00 PM ET

AmericanAirlines Arena, Miami, Florida

NBA Sportsbook Reviews Line: Miami – 2.5

Miami made Spurs’ head coach Gregg Popovich look like a genius in game five, as Diaw shut down Lebron while the surprise starter Manu Ginobili went off for 24 points. The Heat have responded to each of their three losses in this series with a win, so it will be on San Antonio to step up this time and avoid having to play a game seven on the road.

NBA Betting Preview: San Antonio Spurs

The price per head numbers that some of the Spurs have put up in this series are ridiculous, beginning with the fact that Ginobili went off for 24 points and 10 assists after struggling throughout the NBA Finals. Ginobili will look for another strong performance in game six, as will Danny Green, who just set the NBA Finals record for three-point shots. Green hit six three-balls in game five and finished with 24 points, setting the NBA Finals record for three-balls with 25 in this series. Tony Parker came through again as he has this whole postseason with a game-high 26 points and five assists, and continues to be San Antonio’s MVP regardless of what everyone else has done.

NBA Betting Preview: Miami Heat

Mike Miller took just one shot. Udonis Haslem took one shot. That might not change in game six, and that’s even more reason why Lebron needs to step up. It isn’t that his totals don’t look nice on paper. It’s that his team needs him to dominate and he simply did not do that in game five. Dwyane Wade put together another solid line with 24 points and 10 assists, while Ray Allen found his stroke going 7-of-10 for 21 points of his own. That is the kind of support that will help Lebron get through in clutch situations, but in the end it is on him to step up and play at an elite live betting level.

NBA Betting Preview: Outlook & Pick

The Heat will need consecutive home wins to earn another NBA championship, and while that will not be an easy task, they should be able to get one. Miami has responded after every loss in this series, and as long as Lebron steps up and plays at the level everyone knows he is capable of reaching, the Heat should be able to get at least one.

My Pick: Miami Heat – 2.5

The Miami Heat lost to the Dallas Mavericks the last time they played a team in the state of Texas in the NBA Finals. They will be happy to simply remain alive in this series after Game 5.

2013 NBA Finals, Game 5:

Miami Heat @ San Antonio Spurs – Sunday, June 16

Sportsbook line: No line

Why Miami Will Win

When making your next play at any of the premier sports betting sites on the market, it will be entirely reasonable to pick the Heat in this contest. In bet online reviews, you will see that the Heat are more determined and resilient than they were in 2011, when they folded in the face of the Dallas Mavericks’ scrambling, paint-packing defense. In that series, Miami took a 2-1 lead after three games, winning Game 3 on the road in the Lone Star State. At that time two years ago, no team that had won Game 3 of the NBA Finals in a 1-1 series had ever gone on to lose the series. Game 3 winners in 1-1 series had won on all 11 occasions. Miami, though, became the first Game 3 winner in a 1-1 Finals to lose the series, as Dallas roared back by winning Games 4 through 6 to shock the Big Three of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh.

Miami, having lost Game 3 of what was a 1-1 series against San Antonio, is now in a position to rally, whereas it faltered from a position of strength in 2011. The Heat took a punch from the Chicago Bulls and overcame a 1-0 series deficit to win a second-round Eastern Conference series in five games. Then the Heat had to win in Indianapolis in the Eastern Conference Finals in order to survive the Pacers. Miami won Game 3 of that series to re-take home-court advantage. The Heat were pushed to seven games by the fearless Pacers, but they pulled through in seven games. The Heat have been superb in moments of adversity, moments when their manhood was challenged. Whether this series is tied at two games apiece or sits at 3-1 in favor of the Spurs, don’t count out Miami in this situation. The Heat are at their best when other people doubt them.

Why San Antonio Will Win

A pay per head bookie service that takes business on this contest might lean to the Spurs because of one key factor: There will be two full days off between Game 4 on Thursday and Game 5 on Sunday. This extra break could be just the thing to revive the body of San Antonio point guard Tony Parker, who suffered a hamstring injury after Game 3 on Tuesday and entered Game 4 on Thursday in a state of manifest uncertainty. If there were questions about Parker’s health and wellness before Game 4, those questions should be less urgent heading into Game 5. Game 4 hasn’t even started yet, making it impossible to fully gauge the backdrop to Game 5 on Sunday, but regardless of the Game 4 result, Parker should be in a position to not only play, but play well, in Game 5. That reality alone would give San Antonio a pronounced psychological lift while also improving the ability of the Spurs to dictate tempo and play the game the way they want to play it.

Who Will Win?

The sense here is that while Miami will show some desperation in this specific game, the Spurs should be able to pull through with a healthier and more lively version of Tony Parker on the floor.

My Pick: San Antonio

The best sports betting sites saw how much of a difference a player like Jarome Iginla made to the Pittsburgh Penguins or Jaromir Jagr made to the Boston Bruins. Most people do not realize that Iginla had a chance to join the Bruins just before the trade deadline, but he opted for the Penguins instead because he felt that Pittsburgh had a better chance at winning the Stanley Cup.

Now that the Stanley Cup finals are here, many of the sports betting services experts are wondering what will happen to many of the veterans that made moves to be on better teams in 2012-13. Will these players return to their teams, or will they ride off into the sunset and retire? For most of these players, the choice is not so obvious.

Mikka Kiprusoff – Calgary Flames

When Jarome Iginla was negotiating his way out of Calgary, goaltender Mikka Kiprusoff was also offered the chance to end his career with a Stanley Cup contender. But Kiprusoff decided to stay in Calgary because that is where his family now lives. The best sports betting sites are also reporting that Kiprusoff also told the Flames that he will be retiring when this season is over. The announcement has not been made yet, but most people are expecting Kiprusoff to keep his word and retire from the NHL.

Tomas Vokoun – Pittsburgh Penguins

Goaltender Tomas Vokoun was brought into Pittsburgh to offer an alternative to Marc-Andre Fleury if Fleury should falter in the playoffs. When Fleury did falter in the playoffs, Vokoun stepped in and took over. Now Vokoun is expected to be the starter for Pittsburgh when the 2012-13 seasons starts. That leaves a big question as to what the Penguins will do with Fleury, because Pittsburgh does not want to have two starting goaltenders on the roster.

Jaromir Jagr – Boston Bruins

Regardless as to whether or not the Bruins win the Stanley Cup, the sports betting websites expect Jaromir Jagr to give one last salute and hang up his skates for good. Jagr has been helping teams to win Stanley Cups since the early 1990s, and it is about time that this championship caliber player hung up his skates and called it a very successful career.

Jarome Iginla – Pittsburgh Penguins

Jarome Iginla went to Pittsburgh to win a Stanley Cup and it is rumored that he will be in Pittsburgh for at least one more season to give it another try. Iginla’s resolve to play one more season may be strengthened if the Bruins win the Stanley Cup, considering that Iginla passed up playing for the Bruins to play for Pittsburgh. The most that people can expect out of Iginla would be two more seasons and then that will probably be when the superstar decides to call it a career.

After watching the way the Miami Heat dismantled the Indiana Pacers in game seven of the Eastern Conference Finals, it’s hard to understand how that series went seven games in the first place. The Heat dominated the decisive game in every aspect, and there really was no point in the anti-climactic finale in which it seemed as though the Pacers would be able to pull out the online sports betting win. Miami’s ability to rise to the occasion in the decisive game was impressive, but there were many basketball experts that have wondered aloud whether they can play with that consistency as a team in the NBA Finals. There is no doubt at this point that Lebron James will show up, but there are legitimate concerns about the other 2/3’s of the Big Three heading in to the Heat’s third-straight trip to the NBA Finals.

Wade seemed to wake up a little in game seven, scoring 21 points to compliment the game-high 32 points Lebron scored in the 99-76 win. Wade also got to the free throw line on seven occasions, knocking down all seven of his attempts from the stripe and playing an aggressive game with nine rebounds. However, Wade shot just 7-of-16 from the field in the decisive game, and was a shadow of his former self throughout the price per head series until that point. That leaves concerns about how healthy his knee truly is and what impact he’ll have in the NBA Finals as the Heat’s second-best player next to Lebron.

Even more concerning is the status of Chris Bosh, who struggled again in game seven with just nine points on 3-of-13 shooting from the field. Bosh failed to reach double digits in scoring in each of the final four games of the Eastern Conference Final, and was held to five or fewer rebounds in six of the seven sportsbook reviews contests. Bosh had put up double-digit scoring totals in eight of Miami’s first nine playoff games and finished with fewer than six rebounds only twice prior to the Eastern Conference Final, but the San Antonio Spurs are built like a much stronger version of the Indiana Pacers so there is reason for worry.

Beyond the big three, there will always be question marks about the remainder of the supporting cast and the numbers they put up. Udonis Haslem and Mario Chalmers have each had strong live betting moments in these playoffs, but they combined for just 10 points in game seven against Indiana. Meanwhile, Ray Allen came out strong with 10 first-half points in game seven, but he didn’t score another basket and played just 21 minutes. The Heat will likely play small again versus San Antonio, but they will be relying on Chris Anderson and Bosh inside versus Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter.

Of course, this is the Heat’s third-straight trip to the NBA Finals and they are defending champions, so perhaps there isn’t reason for too much concern. Then again, aside from Lebron there are a ton of question marks with 2/3’s of the Big Three and the Miami depth, so it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. For all of the latest NBA playoff news and betting odds, be sure to check out the best online betting sites.

The Indiana Pacers know that they will play a Game 6 at home in the Eastern Conference Finals. Will they be able to win the series then? They have to win Game 5 in order to do so.

Eastern Conference Finals, Game 5:

Indiana Pacers @ Miami Heat – Thursday, May 30

Betting services will likely say that the clash between the Pacers and the Heat will be fiercely fought and filled with plot twists, just like the first four games of the series.

Topbettinglines.com reviews will be able to tell you that Indiana has now beaten Miami four times – twice in the regular season and twice in this series. Indiana has the composition of players that can thwart and frustrate Miami. The Pacers have a superb big man, Roy Hibbert, whose size and length give Miami problems on the offensive glass while also forcing the Heat’s best player, LeBron James, to alter his shot when taking the ball to the basket.

When immersed in the world of playoff-based sports betting, it’s reasonable to account for the power of home-court advantage, even if recent results paint a more uncertain picture. If you visit any premier online sports betting outlet for information on this game, you’ll be told that Miami has lost just six games at home all season long, including the playoffs. Can Miami actually lose twice at home in the same series to the same team? The percentages work against that. Yet, Indiana can make this matchup difficult – actually, it has already done so.

James used a post-up game to great effect in Game 3 on Sunday, when Miami cruised to victory by an 18-point margin, James did not post up very much in Game 4 on Tuesday. Indiana made adjustments, as it regularly manages to do. The Pacers were able to regain control of the flow of play and, accordingly, knot the series at two games apiece. James should be able to post up more in this game and use his physical strength against a smaller and thinner defender, Pacer wing Paul George. This should give Miami a tactical advantage and open up more opportunities for the Heat’s role players, specifically Dwyane Wade and reserve guard Ray Allen.

The advantage Indiana must continue to pursue is connected to the X-factor for the Heat. Miami is at its best not necessarily when LeBron is at his best, because LeBron is at his best almost all the time. LeBron usually needs help in order to win a series, and the man who must help him more than anyone else on the Heat’s roster is forward Chris Bosh. You will recall that in the 2012 NBA Playoffs, Bosh got injured in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Pacers. Miami struggled without Bosh in Games 2 and 3, but in Game 4, Wade came up huge with an emphatic performance.

Wade, though, is not as healthy as he was in Game 4 of the Pacers series last year. He is simply not as dynamic a scorer. Miami needs Bosh to deliver the goods in this series, not just as a jump shooter, but as a rebounder. He can’t be expected to out-rebound Hibbert and teammate David West, but he has to be competitive on the glass and get his fair share of defensive rebounds. West, though, has been enjoying a better series than Bosh by a considerable margin. If West dominates Bosh in Game 5, Indiana will have a very good chance of winning on the road in Miami.

At the end of the day, though, Miami is so good when coming off a loss. The Heat have gone multiple months without losing two games in a row. In fact, they haven’t lost two games in a row since the month of January. Those are tall odds for the Pacers to counter, especially since this game is in Miami. Yes, Miami lost Game 5 of a 2-2 East Finals series last year against the Boston Celtics, but the Heat should be able to respond on this occasion. Take the Heat.

My Pick: Miami

The Memphis Grizzlies reaching their first conference final in franchise history has been one of the stories of the NBA postseason to this point. After coming up short in overtime of game two, they will have a lot of work to do in order to at least make this a respectable series. Memphis is down 2-0 heading home for game three, and will be in tough to turn things around after falling in to this early sportsbook reviews series deficit.

The offense was a major hurting point for the Grizzlies again in game two, as they were held to just 4-of-24 shooting from inside of five feet when Tim Duncan was on the floor. To put that in to perspective, the league average for field goal percentage inside of five feet this season was 50-.4-percent. The Memphis offense couldn’t seem to get anything going when Duncan was on the floor, and even when they clawed their way back from a 17-point deficit they couldn’t seem to get going. The Grizzlies took advantage of their size with 19 offensive rebounds against San Antonio in game two, but they were just 2-for-16 shooting on those second-chance points and that limited what they could do. The Spurs finished the game with 12 blocked shots, and that down low presence made it that much more difficult for the rest of the sports betting offense to get open looks.

The one area where Memphis did seem to show some improvement was on defense, as they found a way to slow down Tony Parker following a blazing start. Parker still handed out a playoff career-high 18 assists to go with his 15 points, but the Grizzlies did do a better job of containing him as the price per head game went on. However Duncan really picked it up as the game went on and finished with a team-high 17 points on 6-of-14 shooting, and all five San Antonio starters finished with double-digit point totals. Memphis’ interior defense has been a strength all season, and it will need to be better for this team to have any chance going forward in this series.

One of the live betting keys to success for the Grizzlies heading in to game three will be a better start, as they struggled again early on in game two and couldn’t overcome it. San Antonio opened the game on a 31-14 run, and that early success set the tone for the rest of the game even though Memphis did come back to force overtime. The Spurs lead the NBA in shooting and average score differential in the first quarter this postseason, and unless the Grizzlies get off to a better start at home in game four, the home fans could be in for another long night.

The Memphis Grizzlies scored upset series wins over the Los Angeles Clippers and Oklahoma City Thunder in the first two rounds of the playoffs to earn a spot in the Western Conference Finals. None of that matters now. The Grizzlies were dominated in a 105-83 loss to the San Antonio Spurs in game on of their West final on Sunday, and now have to respond in a hurry after that lopsided sportsbook reviews loss. Nothing that Memphis did in the first two rounds seemed to work in game one, where their strengths quickly became weaknesses.

The biggest area of concern for the Grizzlies has to be at the defensive end of the floor, where their top-ranked defense was a mess from the opening tipoff. Memphis hadn’t allowed the Thunder to score more than 97 points in any of their five games in the second round – they allowed 105 in game one against San Antonio. Tony Allen simply couldn’t keep up with Tony Parker on the perimeter, as Parker scored a game-high 20 points on 9-of-14 shooting. Parker wasn’t the only Spurs’ guard that dominated on the outside though, as San Antonio scored a franchise playoff record 14 three-point shots in the sports betting victory. Memphis was only marginally better on the inside, but it didn’t matter anyways as the Spurs were content to sit back and fire shots from all over the perimeter.

While defense was the biggest problem, the Grizzlies also struggled to produce at the offensive end of the floor. Zach Randolph registered a brutal performance that stood out from the rest in the franchise’s first-ever conference final game, scoring just two points on 1-of-8 shooting. Randolph was a minus-28 on the floor, by far the worst in a group of starters in which not a single player finished in the positive. Marc Gasol was 7-of-16 from the floor for 15 points, but that price per head shooting percentage isn’t nearly good enough on a team that was led by Quincy Pondexter, who had a team-high 17 points.

Game two will be all about adjustments for Memphis after being so thoroughly dominated in game one. The Spurs understand they need to play with a sense of urgency and really end this price per head series as quickly as possible, so don’t expect them to let up. Any chance that the Grizzlies have will come down to fighting back and answering the full brunt of what San Antonio will bring, and that is much easier said than done. There is no one area where Memphis can’t stand to improve heading in to game two, and it will be on them to respond and play a much more complete game in order to even have a chance at evening the eries at one win each before heading back home to Memphis.

The New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors both face elimination in the playoffs, and both teams will be playing on their home floor. Will both teams thrive under pressure?

Eastern Conference Semifinals, Game 5:

Indiana Pacers @ New York Knicks – Thursday, May 16

Betting services will likely say that the clash between the Pacers and the Knicks is pretty even. The road team in a Game 5 usually acquires a 3-1 series lead by splitting Games 1 and 2 on the road and then winning both Game 3 and Game 4 at home. It’s not as though a road team with a 3-1 series lead is dominant on its opponent’s home court. The team with a 3-1 series lead is normally dominant at home. Such has been the case for the Indiana Pacers in this series. Indiana won Game 1 in New York, got blown out in Game 2, but when went to Indianapolis and cruised in Games 3 and 4. Indiana is obviously the favorite to win the series, but we’re talking about Game 5 here, not the series as a whole. Are the Pacers likely to finish the job here in Madison Square Garden? It’s a close call.

Betonline.ag reviews will be able to tell you that the Knicks buttered their bread during the season on three-point shooting, taking and making a lot of long balls. In this series, the Knicks have gone away from their identity. They’re not making threes, but that’s partly because they’re not taking very many. The Knicks need to return to their normal way of proceeding at the offensive end of the floor. In particular, they need point guard Raymond Felton to establish a drive-and-kick game. Felton set up the Knicks’ offense during the regular season by getting into the lane – at least the elbow areas of the paint – and drawing an extra defender before making a kickout to an open three-point shooter. New York and Felton have abandoned this approach against Indiana, and it has killed the Knicks. Expect New York – down 3-1 and at home – to make a much more concerted effort to embrace its strengths and do the things it likes to do at the offensive end of the floor. A sense of urgency probably won’t win this series for the Knicks… but it will get them a Game 5 win.

NBA Betting Pick: New York

Western Conference Semifinals, Game 6:

San Antonio Spurs @ Golden State Warriors – Thursday, May 16

When immersed in the world of playoff-based sports betting, it’s reasonable to account for the power of home-court advantage, even if recent results paint a more uncertain picture. If you visit any premier online sports betting outlet for information on this game, you’ll be told that it took five games for the home team to finally play well in this series. San Antonio and Golden State both won once at home in the first four games of this series, with the Spurs stealing Game 1 and the Warriors nabbing Game 4, but neither side played particularly well at home as the scene shifted to the Alamo City for Game 5 on Tuesday night. It was only then that a home team finally flourished, as the Spurs took advantage of injuries to score a decisive win. San Antonio pounced on Golden State’s dinged-up superstar, Stephen Curry, who entered the game with a less-than-healthy ankle. Curry has had many problems with ankle injuries in his young career, but he aggravated an ankle injury against Denver in the first round of the playoffs and re-aggravated that injury in Game 3 against San Antonio last Friday. San Antonio has used Danny Green as the primary defender on Curry while making Curry work very hard on defense. The combined tactics of San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich enabled the Spurs to play their first complete home game of the series. Now the question is, “Can Golden State play well at home?”

The answer is likely going to be “yes.”

Golden State has played beyond its years in this series. The Warriors are a young team, but Harrison Barnes, a rookie, has been spectacular the past two games. Jarrett Jack has overperformed relative to the previous several seasons of his NBA career. The Warriors have not looked like an overmatched team in this series. They have forced the Spurs to work very hard and make lots of adjustments just to forge a 3-2 series lead. Playing at home will energize the Warriors and likely lead to a seventh game in a series that – in the minds of many basketball pundits – deserves one.

NBA Betting Pick: Golden State

Sportsbook agents know that fans always want to find out if their team will be buyers or sellers in the free agent market when July rolls around. With this list of free agents out and about, a lot of teams may be buyers who did not previously expect to be active in the market.

Jarome Iginla

Right now, the 35-year-old Iginla is finishing out his current contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. For the first time in his career, Iginla will be testing the free agent waters with the serious intention of making a change in his career. The betting online sports experts seem to think that Iginla will stay in Pittsburgh if the Penguins win the Stanley Cup. But if Pittsburgh falls short, then look for Iginla to consider offers.

Potential Teams: Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Boston Bruins

Niklas Backstrom

The Minnesota Wild’s goaltender will be given a lot of incentives to stay with the Wild. Some experts are estimating that Backstrom could be given as many as seven million reasons to stay with the Wild. But at 35 years old, Backstrom may start believing what the sports betting websites are saying when they say that Minnesota is not a Cup contender. He may want out and he will command a high price.

Potential Teams: Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, Florida Panthers, Dallas Stars

Patrick Elias

The New Jersey Devils have a reputation for not paying high salaries for extended periods of time to players not named Martin Brodeur. Patrick Elias has had a good run in New Jersey, but it is highly unlikely that the Devils will want to pick up his expensive contract for multiple seasons.

Potential Teams: Toronto Maple Leafs, Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, Colorado Avalanche

Teemu Selanne / Jaromir Jagr

The NHL’s ageless wonders may have finally run their course. It would be up to Selanne and Jagr if they wanted to keep playing. But at 42 and 41 years old respectively, it is hard to imagine many teams ponying up the money to get these two guys. But, still, if they want to play another season, there will probably be teams lining up to sign them for that one more year.

Potential Teams: Unknown

Mark Streit

Just when the New York Islanders start to build a winning team, one of their best veteran defenseman comes up for free agency. The fans of the Islanders want to believe that Streit will stick around to help finish what he started in New York. But there is a lot of uncertainty on Long Island that may inspire Streit to start looking elsewhere for employment. His services would be highly coveted by a lot of teams, but look for the Toronto Maple Leafs to make the biggest bid for him.

Potential Teams: New York Islanders, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Los Angeles Kings

This week we have a guest post. Bultip.com will present it sport betting tip for the game of French first division. Olympique Marseille will host Toulouse in match from the 36 round of the French Ligue 1. The game will be played at Stade Velodrome on Saturday. At the moment the hosts take the second place in the table with 67 points, while the visitors are tenth with 45 points. In the first match between both teams earlier in the season Olympique Marseille won with 1:0 at Stadium Municipal.

Olympique Marseille has minimal chances for the first place. At the moment the team of Elie Baup is with 7 points behind the leader Paris St. Germain. Until the end of the season in Ligue 1 there are only three rounds. However, Olympique Marseille is with best chances to finish on the second position, which will send the team directly in the groups of the Champions League next season. The team of Elie Baup has 4 points more than the third Lyon. Toulouse is without chances to play in Europe next season, but in the same time is far away from the relegation zone and surely will play in Ligue 1 next season.

Olympique Marseille is in very good shape lately and has 5 wins and 1 draw in their last 6 matches in Ligue 1. The team of Elie Baup beat Nice (1:0), Bordeaux (1:0), Stade Brestois (1:0), Lorient (1:0) and Bastia (2:1) and finished draw with Lille (0:0).

Toulouse is with 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses in their previous 6 games in Ligue 1. The team of Alain Casanova achieved victories against Ajaccio (3:2) and Lille (4:2), finished draw with Bastia (0:0) and lost from Nice (3:4), Lyon (1:3) and Lorient (0:1).

The match at Stade Velodrome is without importance for Toulouse after the team is away from the danger zone and is without chances to play in the Champions League or Europa League next season. Olympique Marseille needs the three points in the battle for the second place and must win on Saturday to increase their chances for this position. The hosts are in better shape than the visitors and a victory for Olympique Marseille will not be a big surprise.

Olympique Marseille has 5 victories and 1 draw in their last 6 games at home in the league. Toulouse is with 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses in their previous 6 visits in Ligue 1.

Prediction: 1
